- You have a LeaseBase owner account (see How to Create Your Account).
Add your property
In Step 1 of the wizard, enter your property name (e.g., “123 Oak Street”) and the full address. LeaseBase validates and autocompletes the address. Your property is created in the system.
Add your units
In Step 2, add each unit with its unit number (e.g., “Unit A,” “101”) and monthly rent amount. You can add as many units as your plan allows — up to 3 on the Free plan.
Set up leases
In Step 3, you have two options for each unit: create a lease from a template (fill in terms, dates, and deposit amount) or upload an existing PDF lease document. Leases are created in DRAFT status.
Invite your tenants
In Step 4, enter each tenant’s email address. LeaseBase sends a portal invitation email with a link for the tenant to create their account and accept.
Complete onboarding
The wizard finishes and you’re redirected to your owner dashboard. A 14-day Growth reverse trial activates automatically, giving you access to premium features while you evaluate LeaseBase.
Common questions
Can I add more properties later?
Yes. Go to Properties in your dashboard and click Add Property at any time. The wizard is for your first property; additional ones are added directly.
What if I already have lease documents?
Upload your existing PDF lease files. They’re stored securely and visible to both you and your tenant in the Documents section.
Can I skip steps and come back later?
The wizard is designed to be completed in one flow, but you can always add tenants, upload leases, and adjust units later from your dashboard.
